F Clarke, and latterly
Aged at great expense to England. During the time I was in the Minting Department due to Royal Mint's appointment, I received instructions from the then Acting Governor of the Colony and the Law Officers of the Service, I believe, belonging to my Department, which stands to be staffed with able and efficient officers, as formanent Captain Master of the Mint.
On the abolition of the Mint in the early part of the present year, I applied through the Head of Department to His Excellency for appointment or compensation for my services, but without success.
I am not alone in this, as other Officers of the establishment are also seeking a way forward.
